Formed in 2022 by four dynamic and seasoned chamber musicians, the Mad River String Quartet is dedicated to exploring American music in all its fascinating and entertaining variety while continuing to celebrate its relationship to music from around the world, both old and new. Their performances include everything from folk, gospel, jazz and fiddle music to classical era quartets and an exciting range of newer voices, presented with an inimitable mix of humor, joy and passion.
